Featured accommodation for groups

We make use of a few trusted properties near the V&A Waterfront and Camps Bay. Both destinations have their very own attractions with the Waterfront boasting a wide variety of shopping, restaurants, activities and entertainment. Camps Bay has the more cosmopolitan feel with all the restaurants and bars being on the beach road overlooking palm trees, perfect white beaches and endless sunsets. We have our favourite beach hotel that we have chosen to use as our main hotel for padel tours.

The featured hotel is right on the beach road overlooking the vibrant beach life below. The hotel has its very own swimming pools and lounging facilities in different areas of the property, its own cocktail bar, restaurant, spa and wellness centre, gym, sauna, steam room, access to the beach, bars, restaurants and its very own indoor Padel court accompanied by 3 outdoor courts. For groups looking to have everything planned and organized under one roof then this is the ideal location. From here we can easily take you on excursions and tourist activities. We really enjoy taking groups to this hotel and it is one of the truest reflections of a Cape Town stay.

South Africa is an incredibly diverse country with so much to do along the various routes. Freewalker provides the opportunity to indulge in the very best we have to offer while having every aspect of the tour booked and guided which makes this a true golfing holiday. We are based in Cape Town, where there are numerous championship courses surrounded by more Vineyards than you can imagine. Every tour usually involves ends with a safari, which South Africa is world renowned for. We offer set tours and the possibility of tailor-making your own tour with our expertise. Our three favourite routes:

1. Golf in the Garden Route

South Africa has an abundance of pristine championship golf estates and courses to choose from. The majority of our tours begin or end in Cape Town where you have the possibility of combining the tour with many world famous experiences and wine regions. The Garden route connects Cape Town and the Big 5 safari destinations in the malaria-free Eastern Cape. Combining these two regions with overnight stays at various golf estates along the way is by far the favourite amongst past groups. Typical tours would range between 10-12 days with around 6-7 courses being played and a whole variety of add-on experiences and excursions in between. The route is well marked, short driving distances, full up with tourism and hospitality options and spoilt for choice with courses. This would be the best option to see many different courses and have a great time.

2. Golf and safari

Designed to suit your travel needs.

This tour combines some of the most unique courses in South Africa with safari experiences in the Kruger National Park. The courses have been hand selected to include wildlife sightings, co-inhabiting the surrounding vegetation and fairways. South Africa is full of marvels and wonders but this all-inclusive tour is sure to be unforgettable.

The tour begins in Sun City, a short distance from Johannesburg International Airport. Sun City has been voted South Africa’s best resort and for good reason, there is something for everyone here. The tour spends 2 nights here enjoying golf at both of their courses, Lost City and the iconic Gary Player Country Club, one of the world’s longest courses (8000 yards). Both courses were designed by Gary Player, Godfather of South African golf.

After a great introduction to South African hospitality and fun we continue to Hans Merensky Hotel and spa for golf on our country’s most favourable walking courses. Here you will share the golfing experience with resident Giraffe, Hippo, Crocodile and other antelope species on the course.

From there we enter the nearby Kruger National Park, our largest game reserve destination boasting almost 2 million hectares of diverse wildlife and safari lodges. We take a break from golf to enjoy the luxurious splendours of our Big 5 safari experiences.

We head further south through the wild to Skukuza Camp, for more golf with some close-to-nature experiences with the local Big 5 wandering around the surroundings.

We end this fabulous tour at Leopard Creek, another Gary Player design and hands down one of South Africa’s very best.

This golfing safari is one for the memories for sure.

3. Golf in the Cape Winelands

Cape Town, Stellenbosch & Franschhoek
Top courses, wine and touring.

This package allows groups to remain in and around Cape Town and focus on more golf, with additional touring options in close vicinity. Cape Town offers a wide variety of pristine courses, some clubs and some situated on wine estates, making this the ideal combination of golf and wine.

International flight will arrive and depart from here after a memorable tour of the Cape. The surrounding wine regions such as Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, Paarl, Somerset West and Hermanus are all home to magnificent golf courses, estates and resorts.

The tour allows for more golf to be played instead of using those days to travel to various parts of South Africa. We do include major highlights and must-see destinations in this trip and we do book wine tastings and dining at some of the very best in the Cape.
